Forgeon Ranked #8 on Product Hunt: Our First Major Public Launch

July 28, 2026

On July 26, 2026, we launched Forgeon on Product Hunt and ended the day ranked 8th among the products of the day. For us, this launch marked an important milestone: after months of development, Forgeon was presented for the first time to a large international audience.

Over the past few months, we have worked on Forgeon almost every day. What started as an idea for a platform for interactive books gradually evolved into a full-fledged ecosystem: a professional editor, an interactive reader, a publishing system, author profiles, RPG mechanics, monetization, analytics, and AI tools.

But there is one thing to create a product within a team—constantly improving the interface, adding new mechanics, and fixing details. Quite another to open it up to people who had never heard of it before.

On July 26, we did exactly that.

Our Launch on Product Hunt

Product Hunt is a platform where new technology products from around the world are launched every day. Throughout the day, the community gets to know them, votes, leaves comments, and forms a ranking of the products of the day.

We introduced Forgeon there for the first time and shared our idea: to create a platform where stories stop being just a sequence of pages.

Throughout the day, we watched as Forgeon climbed the rankings, received its first votes, comments, and attention from new users. In the end, Forgeon secured the #8 Product of the Day.

For a young project, this was an important result. But even more important for us was something else: people who had never seen Forgeon before began to visit the platform, explore it, and try out what we had been working on all this time.

What We Presented

At the core of Forgeon lies a quite simple idea: a story does not necessarily have to follow a single predetermined path.

The reader can make decisions, explore different directions of the plot, find items, develop the character, and face the consequences of their previous actions. Two people can open the same book but experience it in completely different ways.

For authors, we created a visual editor where such stories can be built without developing a game from scratch. Pages are connected into a branching structure, and on top of that, you can add variables, conditions, character stats, inventory, items, battles, music, sound effects, illustrations, and other mechanics.

Meanwhile, Forgeon doesn’t end at creating the book. The author can publish the story on the platform, set up their profile, find an audience, track statistics, and monetize their work. The reader, in turn, gets a single place to discover and experience interactive stories.

It is this ecosystem that we showed to a wide audience for the first time on Product Hunt.

Why This Launch Is Important to Us

Before Product Hunt, we mainly saw Forgeon through the eyes of its creators. We knew why a certain button was exactly where it was, why each mechanic existed, and how the different parts of the platform should work together.

A public launch changes the perspective.

Now Forgeon is being used by people who don’t know its development story and see the product as it is today. They enter the editor, open books, try out the mechanics, and form their own impression of the platform.

And right now, one of the most important stages of product development begins: observing how real authors and readers use Forgeon, listening to feedback, and deciding what needs to be improved next.

Therefore, #8 on Product Hunt for us is not the final result of the launch. It is the first noticeable milestone on a much longer journey.

What’s Next

We already have a solid foundation for Forgeon, but much more lies ahead.

We will continue to develop the editor and tools for creating complex interactive stories, improve the reader, expand publishing and monetization capabilities, work on AI features, and make the process of creating books more convenient.

At the same time, our long-term goal remains the same: to build a place where an author gets everything they need—from the first idea to the published story and their own audience.

We want creating an interactive world to be possible not only for a game studio developer. A writer should not have to become a programmer just because their story contains choices, multiple plot lines, inventory, or a stats system.

The author should focus on the story. Forgeon takes care of everything else.

Product Hunt was the first major public test of this idea. And seeing Forgeon among the best products of the day was an important moment for all our work.

Thank you to everyone who opened Forgeon, voted for us, left comments, shared the launch, or simply decided to see what we are creating.

We’re just getting started.
