Payout Policy (Политика выплат авторам)

1. Overview

This Author Payout Policy governs how amounts are calculated, credited, and paid to authors who publish content on the Forgeon platform (forgeon.art), including the website, mobile apps, and related services (the "Platform").

By using Forgeon as an author, you agree to this Payout Policy. Additional terms are in the Publisher / Author Agreement and the Terms of Use.

The Platform is available to users aged 13 and older. Users under 13 may use the Platform only with permission from a parent or legal guardian (Privacy Policy).

2. Author revenue sources

Authors may earn on Forgeon from the following sources:

• book sales;
• participation in the author reward program (Author Pool), funded from part of Premium subscription revenue.

Revenue from advertising shown on the Platform is not paid to authors.

3. Platform commission

Forgeon retains a commission on sales of your digital content. Currently the commission is 20% of the sale price; a cap of up to 30% is reserved during testing and while rates are refined—once final rates are approved, they will be updated and communicated to authors.

Forgeon may change the commission rate with notice to authors.

4. Author Pool

Forgeon may allocate part of subscription revenue to an author reward fund (Author Pool). In particular, 50% of net Premium subscription revenue (after payment provider fees and similar deductions) may be directed to the pool, within limits and procedures determined by Forgeon.

Distribution from the Author Pool is based on internal platform metrics, including user activity, time spent engaging with content, and other indicators defined by Forgeon.

Forgeon does not guarantee that you will earn from the Author Pool or that payouts will reach any minimum amount.

5. Author balance

All credits appear on your internal author balance in your Forgeon dashboard.

Funds on your author balance are not a bank account, e-wallet, or deposit.

6. Minimum payout amount

You may request a payout when your balance is at least USD 25.

Forgeon may change the minimum payout amount.

7. Payout requests

To receive a payout, you must create a payout request through the Platform (author dashboard, finances section, and payout method settings).

Payouts may be processed via Stripe Connect, Wise, Payoneer, and other agreed channels depending on your region, currency, and Forgeon settings. The list of available methods is shown in your author dashboard.

Forgeon may ask for additional information, including payment details and identity documents (KYC), when needed to complete a payout.

8. Payout timing

After you create a payout request, Forgeon aims to process it and initiate transfer within up to 5 business days. This is not a guarantee: timing may be longer due to extra reviews, holidays, payment partner outages, high support load, or force majeure.

Actual crediting time depends on your bank, payment system, and transfer route.

9. Fees and conversion

Bank fees, payment system fees, and currency conversion fees are borne by the author.

Payouts may be made in US dollars (USD).

10. Taxes

You are solely responsible for taxes, duties, and other mandatory payments in your country of residence.

Forgeon is not your tax agent.

11. Refunds and adjustments

If a user receives a refund for a purchase or subscription, the corresponding amount may be deducted from your balance. General refund rules are in the Refund Policy.

Forgeon may adjust your balance in case of:

• refund to the user;
• chargeback;
• crediting error;
• fraudulent activity.

12. Suspension and freezing of payouts

Forgeon may suspend or freeze payouts if:

• Platform rules are violated;
• fraud is suspected;
• activity is artificially inflated;
• copyright is infringed;
• content complaints are received;
• there is a chargeback or financial dispute.

13. Deletion of author account

If Forgeon removes your author account for rule violations, Forgeon may refuse to pay out remaining balances.

If you delete your own account, balances are not paid out.

If Forgeon deletes your author account without a violation on your side, balances may be paid if they exceed the minimum payout amount.

14. Payout errors

In case of a technical error or crediting error, Forgeon may adjust your author balance.

15. Policy changes

Forgeon may change this Payout Policy at any time. The updated version is published on the Forgeon site. The current version is at /payout-policy.
