Forgeon, Inc.

1. General

This Publisher / Author Agreement (the "Agreement") governs how you publish, distribute, and monetize your content on the Forgeon platform (forgeon.art), including the website, mobile apps, and related services (the "Platform").

By registering as an author and publishing content on the Platform, you agree to this Agreement. General terms for all users are set out in the Terms of Use.

2. Author Registration

The Platform is available to users aged 13 and older. Users under 13 may use the Platform only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. Age-related provisions are also described in the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

To use author features, you must register an account on Forgeon. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Forgeon may refuse author registration or remove an author account if you violate the Platform's rules.

3. Author Content

You may publish digital content on Forgeon, including interactive books, visual novels, RPG-style stories, and other digital works.

You may distribute content:

  • for free;
  • under a paid model (book purchase);
  • via Premium subscription access.

Additional paid author subscriptions (for example, extended Forgeon Creator editor features) are purchased separately and are governed by the Terms of Use, the refund policy, and the pricing pages on the site.

You are fully responsible for the content you publish.

4. Rights in Content

You retain rights in your content. Forgeon does not acquire ownership of your content.

By placing content on the Platform, you grant Forgeon a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • store the content;
  • publish the content;
  • distribute the content;
  • provide users access to the content;
  • use the content to promote the Forgeon platform;
  • use the book's images, title, and description in Forgeon's marketing and advertising materials.

This license lasts until the content is removed from the Platform.

5. Book Sales and Monetization

You may set prices for your books. Forgeon provides the technical means to sell access to digital content.

Forgeon acts as a platform intermediary and provides infrastructure to host and distribute your content.

Reader refund terms, including for Premium subscriptions (including reading-time thresholds), are described in the Refund Policy; administrative actions on subscriptions follow those rules.

6. Platform Commission

Forgeon retains a commission on your book sales. Currently the commission is 20% of the sale price; a cap of up to 30% is reserved during testing and while economics are refined—once final rates are approved, the percentage will be updated and communicated to authors.

Further details on calculation and payouts are in the Payout Policy.

Forgeon may change the commission rate with notice to authors.

7. Author Pool

Forgeon may allocate part of platform revenue among authors through an author reward system (Author Pool). In particular, 50% of net Premium subscription revenue (after payment provider fees and similar deductions) may be directed to the pool, within limits and procedures determined by Forgeon.

Distribution among authors from the pool is based on internal platform metrics, including user activity, time spent engaging with content, and other indicators defined by Forgeon.

Forgeon does not guarantee that you will earn revenue or that payouts will reach any minimum amount.

8. Payouts to Authors

You may request a payout when your author balance is at least USD 25.

Payouts may be made through integrated or agreed methods, including Stripe Connect, Wise, and Payoneer (the exact methods available depend on your region and platform settings). Forgeon may require identity and payment-data verification (KYC/AML) before transferring funds.

Payouts are made on your request; the target processing time is up to 5 business days, but actual timing may be longer due to reviews, holidays, payment-system load, or force majeure.

Forgeon may suspend or delay payouts if:

  • you violate Platform rules;
  • fraud is suspected;
  • copyright is infringed;
  • activity is artificially inflated.

If Forgeon removes your author account for rule violations, Forgeon may refuse to pay out remaining balances.

If you delete your own account, balances are not paid out.

You are solely responsible for taxes in your jurisdiction.

9. Forgeon Assets

Digital assets in the Forgeon library (images, audio, video, templates, UI elements, and other materials) are created or licensed by Forgeon for the Platform.

Forgeon assets are Forgeon's intellectual property (or used by Forgeon under lawful rights). You receive a limited non-exclusive license to use such assets only when creating and publishing books on Forgeon, within the editor's functionality.

Use outside the Platform, resale, sublicensing, or other commercial use outside Forgeon is prohibited unless Forgeon expressly permits otherwise in writing.

10. Forgeon Editor

The Forgeon editor—including the interface, tools for interactive books, game mechanics, branching, templates, design, software code, and other platform elements—is Forgeon's intellectual property.

Using the editor does not transfer ownership of the Platform's technology to you.

11. Removing Books

In your dashboard you may move a book to trash (remove it from your project list); permanent removal from the dashboard trash usually occurs within about 10 days—exact timing is shown in the interface.

If at least one user has paid for access to the book (or has access under an active Premium subscription), the book will not be fully removed from the store and access for those users to the extent needed to meet obligations to them.

For new buyers, the book may be hidden or taken off sale by you or moderation; prior purchasers keep access within the scope of their license.

Complete technical deletion of materials and archival copies may take up to 12 months from the final deletion request, absent conflicting legal requirements or disputes.

Forgeon may remove a book immediately if Platform rules or law are violated.

12. Content Moderation

Forgeon may review your content, including images and video, for compliance with Platform rules.

Forgeon may:

  • reject publication;
  • require changes;
  • remove content;
  • block the author.

Appeals regarding removed content or a blocked account go through support or email support@forgeon.art.

13. Author Representations

You represent and warrant that:

  • you own the content or have lawful rights to use it;
  • the content does not infringe third-party copyright;
  • the content does not include unlawful material;
  • the content does not include pornographic photo or video material;
  • music, images, and video you use are lawfully licensed or authorized.

You agree to indemnify Forgeon against any damage, loss, legal fees, or third-party claims arising from your published content.

14. Forgeon Liability Limitation

Forgeon provides the Platform "as is" and does not guarantee revenue, user numbers, or sales.

Forgeon is not liable for:

  • your losses;
  • lack of income;
  • technical failures;
  • data loss;
  • user conduct.

15. Term and Termination

This Agreement applies from author registration until your author account is deleted.

Forgeon may terminate your access at any time for violations of Platform rules.

16. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.

Disputes are subject to the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
